E. JOSEPH FITZPATRICK, JR.
After graduating from the University of Maryland in 1975, Joe received his law degree from Howard University in 1978. Following a judicial clerkship in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, with the Hon. William Cave, and several years as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Montgomery County, his practice now consists of civil and criminal litigation, as well as providing advice to area businesses. Joe’s involvement with community activities include having coached youth ice hockey for a number of years, having served on the Bar Association’s Executive Committee and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity for more than a decade. Most recently, he, together with many other area lawyers, built a home from the ground up for one of Habitat’s many families in need of a hand up. Joe has served on Habitat for Humanity, Inc.’s Montgomery County Board of Directors for six years, most recently as its chairman. Joe is assisted on a daily basis at the office by his two faithful and furry companions, Bonnie and Belle, also known as the world’s best golden retrievers. Joe is honored to have recently been elected to serve as President of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland for the 2009 – 2010 term.
